The Viking Chorus and Manitou Singers, the first-year choral ensembles at St. Olaf College, performed a joint spring concert in Boe Memorial Chapel at St. Olaf College on Sunday, April 26. On Saturday, November 22, 2008, the Viking Chorus at St. Olaf College performed a concert as part of the convention of the Minnesota chapter of the American Choral Directors Association. This year's convention took place right on the St. Olaf campus, with performances from various state choirs in St. Olaf's Boe Memorial Chapel. The Viking Chorus, directed by Dr. Christopher Aspaas, sung Sing Dem Herrn, Kpanlongo, In Every Corner Sing, Periti Autem Op. 115, No. 2, The Angel Gabriel, She Moved Through the Fair, and Solstice. The Viking Chorus, comprised of 88 first-year males at St. Olaf College, performed at the Homecoming & Family Weekend concert on Sunday, October 5, 2008 in Skoglund Auditorium. Other ensembles that performed were the Manitou Singers, the Norseman Band, and the St. Olaf Philharmonia.
